Kyren Wilson admits he will have his work cut out as he prepares to take on David Gilbert in the final of the German Masters.
The 27-year-old reached the final on Saturday night after hammering Stephen Maguire 6-1 in the semi-finals.
Wilson started the match with a break of 67 before racing into a 4-0 lead.
Scotland’s Maguire showed some fighting spirit to make it 4-1 but that was his only success in the best of 11 contest.
Further breaks of 63 and 62 from Wilson helped him over the line and he will now go in search of his third ranking title.
He has won the Paul Hunter Classic and invitational Six Red World Championship as well as reaching the final of the Champion of Champions but he admits Gilbert will be tough to break down.
“I felt as if I held my composure very well tonight,” Wilson told World Snooker.com.
“I knew I couldn’t give Stephen any easy chances, but at the same time I had to be aggressive and try to attack at the right times.
“It’s pleasing to keep reaching the latter stages of tournaments. I’m just enjoying the events rather than chasing titles.
“David Gilbert is a very good cueist, very naturally talented. He has already had a final this year and he’ll be desperate to win his first title. He has beaten some very good players this week.”
Wilson is the heavy 1.30 favourite to win Sunday’s final, while Gilbert is 3.40 to go all the way.
A close game should be expected and a 9-6 win for Wilson is available at odds of 6.50.
