Wales’ Mark Williams will be looking to make a statement on Monday as he prepares to take on Thailand’s Akani Songsermsawad in the International Championship.
The reigning world champion eased past his first opponent, Zhang Jiankang, after he recorded a 6-1 win on Sunday.
Williams fired home breaks of 92, 81 and 106 as he moved into the next round.
The 43-year-old has continued to roll back the years this season, winning the World Open back in August.
He also reached the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters while he was knocked out in the third round of the English Open and China Championship.
Williams is 4.75 to win 6-2 during his encounter on Monday.
China’s Zhao Xintong is also a short-priced favourite for his meeting with Thailand’s James Wattana, with the latter a 5.00 outsider.
A closer game is expected between England’s David Lilley and fellow countryman Ben Woollaston.
Lilley is not seeded for the event and as a result he is 2.38 to beat Woollaston, with the latter 1.57 favourite.
Woollaston reached the third round of the English Open last week, while Lilley’s best results have come on the Challenge Tour.
Crowd favourite Mark Allen is expected to come through his contest against Liam Highfield as he tries to get back to winning ways after losing in the second round of the English Open.
The final game of Monday’s afternoon session sees He Guoqiang take on fellow Chinese star Zhou Yuelong.
