Fan favourite Jimmy White will be looking to bounce back from a bad few months when he takes on Harvey Chandler in the German Masters qualifiers on Wednesday evening.
The 56-year-old has struggled on the pro circuit recently, winning just three matches since the start of the new season.
White qualified for the Riga Masters back in July before losing in the first round, while he also beat Fergal O’Brien in qualifying for the International Masters.
He won his first match at the English Open but it has since been a miserable few months for the veteran.
White has now lost his last six matches, but he remains the 1.73 favourite to beat Chandler this week.
Barry Hawkins and Michael White will meet in the opening match of the afternoon session, with Hawkins the 1.30 favourite.
Jack Lisowski and Li Hang are short-priced favourites for their matches with Mark Joyce and Lu Haotian respectively.
Scotland’s Anthony McGill is expected to cruise past Jordan Brown of Northern Ireland, but a closer match is predicted between Ireland’s O’Brien and China’s Tian Pengfei.
O’Brien has improved since his defeat to White but remains the slight outsider at 2.20, with Tian 1.67 favourite.
Another close game should come in the meeting between Kuldesh Johal and Zhang Yong.
The former is 2.50 to win but Zhang will be eager to deliver the goods for punters at odds of 1.50.
Shaun Murphy is also back in action after losing in the final of the UK Championship and he takes on Martin O’Donnell in the evening session.
