England’s Joel Walker will be hoping to build on his good performances in Q school as he enters week two of the event. The 24-year-old enjoyed some good results last week and he will now be put through his paces on Sunday. Walker won 4-0 in round one against Stefan Mazrocis, before Mohammadli Pordel withdrew from their contest.
Walker then beat Jamie Cope before losing to Ben Hancorn, but he will get the chance to impress against Bedford. Walker just edges the odds at 1.80, while Bedford is the slight outsider at odds of 1.90. Thor Chuan Leong is also back in action and he is the hot favourite to beat Ben Fortey this weekend. The 30-year-old is battling to save his professional status and he ended the campaign in disappointing fashion. He failed to qualify for the World Championship in April after losing to Michael Holt and he also lost in qualifying for the China Open and German Masters. However, the Malaysian has shown his superior class at Q school so far, beating Bedford, Brandon Hall, Charlie Walters and Andy Lee.
Adam Duffy is also in action on Sunday and he is 1.55 to beat opponent Barry Pinches, while the final match of the day sees Luke Simmonds face off against John Whitty. Simmonds was last in action in August at the Paul Hunter Classic but he has looked a cut above his rivals during round one of Q School. Whitty won and lost last week in his two matches and he is 2.60 to win, with Simmonds the 1.40 favourite.
