Judd Trump will take on fellow Englishman Jack Lisowski in the quarter-finals of the International Championship in Daqing after thrashing home hopeful Yan Bingtao 6-1. Trump has been in awesome form in China having lost just two frames in three matches so far.
The Britsolian has struggled for form this season and his last eight appearance in the International Championship will match his best result of the campaign.
Trump, who won the inaugural edition of the tournament at previous venue Chendu in 2012, comes up against Lisowski after his 11-frame thriller against Martin Gould.
Gould had opened up a 5-4 lead but Lisowski won the final two frames to claim a victory and set up a clash with Trump.
Trump may have endured a tough campaign so far but the world number five looks to be the man to beat in Daqing at this stage given the dominant manner of his victories.
The 29-year-old also has an impressive head-to-head record against Lisowski having won four of their last five meetings, including a 4-2 English Open success earlier in October.
Trump has just one Triple Crown title to his name having landed the UK Championship back in 2011 and he is 11.00 to win the tournament this year. Trump is 9.50 to win The Masters 2019 and 10.00 to claim the World Championship title at the end of the campaign.
