Australia’s Neil Robertson will be confident of reaching the next round of the World Open after his comfortable win on Monday against He Guogiang. The 36-year-old has enjoyed a superb start to 2018 so far and has already won the Riga Masters this year.
Robertson beat the likes of Ricky Walden, Stuart Carrington and Jack Lisowski to lift the trophy last month and a lot is expected of the world No.10 this week. He fired breaks of 110, 74, and 109 on his way to victory and will now do battle with Andy Lee.
Lee is the huge underdog and Robertson is priced at 3.30 to win 5-0 once again. An all-Chinese affair gets the afternoon underway as Ding Jinhui meets Yuan Sijun. The former is the huge favourite and a 5-1 win is 3.80 with Dafabet.
Robertson’s rival from the Riga Masters, Carrington, is also in action and he will be put through his paces by Yan Bingtao. Bingtao is the slight favourite at odds of 1.53, while Carrington is priced at 2.40 to grab the win.
Michael Holt is also in action and he comes up against Mark Davis for a place in the next round. Holt is just above evens to win at 2.05, while Davis edges the betting at 1.70 due to his recent form on the circuit. Fourth seed Judd Trump also returns to the table and he is expected to overcome Martin O’Donnell in their meeting in Yushan.
