Marco Fu booked his place in the Quarter-Finals of the 2017 World Championship after an drama filled 13-11 victory over Neil Robertson at The mecca of snooker this evening.
The match was superbly poised at 8-8 heading in to the final session, and although Robertson took early control of the final session by moving 10-8 in front, Fu powered home winning 5 of the next six frames to complete a thrilling victory.
Mark Selby Powered to a convincing 13-6 victory over Xiao Guodong and will now face Hong Kong’s Marco Fu in a repeat of last years semi final clash which Selby won 17-15
Ding Junhui came through the proud battle of China with a 13-12 victory over Liang Wenbo and will now face Ronnie O’Sullivan in a dream quarter final match up.
John Higgins will face Kyren Wilson for a place in the semi finals.
Higgins came through a high quality match with Mark Allen with a tremendous 13-9 victory.
Kyren Wilson came through with a 13-10 victory over Stuart Bingham.
Barry Hawkins will face Stephen Maguire in the Quarter Finals as both players came through comfortable encounters with Graeme Dott and Rory Mcleod respectively.
