Jack Lisowski, Anthony Hamilton, Jimmy Robertson and Ricky Walden were unable to come through Championship League Group One, but will be handed another opportunity in Group Two this week.
Lisowski ended 2018 on a high with a 5-4 victory over Gary Wilson in the qualifying final of the German Masters but he was unable to make a positive start in the Championship League.
The Englishman kicked off the competition with back-to-back 3-1 defeats against Neil Robertson and Jimmy Robertson.
The world number 16 did recover to win his following five matches, including a semi-final against Walden, but came up short in the final when he met Australia’s Robertson for a second time.
His run to the final in Group One means that he will get the chance to compete for progression again on Thursday and Friday in Group Two.
Hamilton, who made it through to the semi-finals, will also be back in action in Group Two despite winning just three of his seven Group One engagements.
They will be joined by beaten semi-finalist Walden and fifth-placed Robertson in Group Two, while Kyren Wilson, Luca Brecel and three-time champion Judd Trump also join the competition.
Thursday’s action sees Brecel and Robertson go head-to-head in the morning session with Trump, who is priced at 5.50 to win Championship League Snooker 2019 outright, and Wilson also set to square off.
Lisowski will return to the table in the afternoon when he faces Walden while Hamilton takes on Trump at the same time.
