Wales’ Jackson Page advanced to round three of the third and final 2018 School Q event after he battled past Saqib Nasir on Monday. The teenager produced a top break of 59 to give himself plenty of momentum and he kicked on and gave Nasir no chance of responding in Burton.

He will now return to the table on Tuesday night as he faces off against Bash Maqsood. Adam Duffy was also in action on Monday and he progressed after beating Wayne Townsend 4-2. David Grace looks in a good position to earn his tour card after beating Ben Hancorn 4-1, while Jamie Cope also cruised to victory.

James Cahill, Thor Chuan Leong and Icelandic veteran Kristjan Helgason were also successful ahead of another busy day on Wednesday. Fraser Patrick is back in action and he is 2.00 to win his match against Chen Zhe. Zhe is 1.73 favourite to beat the Scot but the Chinese star has been pushed all the way this week. The 25-year-old lost in first match in Q School 1 and he was also beaten by Mitchell Mann in the final round of Q School 2.

A close game is expected in the afternoon session as Fang Xiongman prepares to do battle against Hu Hao. Fang is 1.80 to get the job done, while Hao is priced at 1.90 and both have been in mixed form of late. Brandon Sergeant and Jamie O’Neill will do battle in the evening, while Jamie Curtis-Barrett takes on Kishan Hirani in one of the final games of the day. Curtis-Barrett is 1.73 favourite, while Hirani is available at odds of 2.00.
