Lisowski facing crucial Wednesday
Share:

Jack Lisowski has struggled for form in the 2019 Championship League and needs to pick up a few wins on Wednesday to give himself a chance of reaching the play-off.

The 27-year-old is enjoying his most successful season so far having reached a first ranking event final at the Riga Masters and the fourth round at the UK Championship in his best performance in a Triple Crown event.

However, Lisowski has just one win from three matches so far in Coventry and probably needs to pick up two wins from three games on Wednesday to put himself in contention.

The world number 16, who is 13.00 to win the tournament outright, arguably faces his biggest test in the morning as he comes up against current leader Mark King – who has won all three of his games so far. Lisowski is 1.61 to win and King can be backed at 2.30.

Lisowski then faces Anthony Hamilton in the afternoon in what could be a close affair as the two players are level at 2-2 in their head-to-head, with the ‘Sheriff of Pottingham’ winning their most recent meeting in the quarter-finals of the European Masters.

Lisowski’s final match is against Ricky Walden later in the afternoon and again this could be a tight battle. Walden has made a strong start to the tournament with two wins in three games before Wednesday’s play and is 2.25 to win this match, with Lisowski available at 1.61.
