Qualifying for the International Championship begins on Tuesday and Jack Lisowski will come up against Oliver Lines as he bids for a place in the tournament proper.
The Cheltenham native, 27, is enjoying his best season so far after reaching a first ranking tournament final at the Riga Masters, before going on to make the quarter-finals of the World Open, Paul Hunter Classic and European Masters.
World number 22 Lisowski is arguably the in-form player on the professional tour right now, or at least the most consistent, and he will be hoping to maintain his performance levels as he seeks to rise up the rankings and secure a first tournament win.
Lines has dropped out of the top 100 and was dumped out in the first round of the European Masters last week but the 23-year-old remains a dangerous player.
Lisowski is priced at 1.15 to win or 4.75 to win 6-1, while Lines is 5.00 to come out on top.
World number 10 Neil Robertson is also involved in an afternoon qualifier as he comes up against Scotland’s Ross Muir. The Australian missed The Masters earlier this year after a drop down the rankings but fought his way back into the top 10 and landed July’s Riga Masters.
However, Robertson has failed to progress beyond the second round of a tournament since that win and will be keen to make a big impression at the International Championship in order to protect his ranking.
Robertson is 1.08 to win or 1.70 with a -3.5 frame handicap.
