Ronnie O’Sullivan has revealed healthier eating has helped him lose weight and a ‘slimline’ Rocket will face Neil Robertson at the Champion of Champions event on Thursday. The five-time world champion took to Twitter this week to post a picture of his healthy food packed up for his lunch and revealed that he had “lost 1 stone and 14 pounds in a month.”
O’Sullivan has really got into running as well in recent times and clearly feels a healthier lifestyle will help him continue to win events on the snooker circuit for years to come. The world number seven faces the 2010 world champion Robertson in a Group Four encounter on Thursday (Match Betting – O’Sullivan 4/9, Robertson 7/4), with the winner facing the winner of the John Higgins v Anthony McGill match. O’Sullivan has won this tournament on two previous occasions, back-to-back in 2013 and 2014, and lost 10-7 in the final to Higgins (13/2 to retain his title) last year.
‘The Rocket’ has the edge over his Australian opponent in the head-to-head stats, but Robertson has beaten O’Sullivan in their last two meetings at the Hong Kong Masters and the 2017 World Grand Prix.
