Mark Allen and the rest of snooker’s top players will turn their attentions to the World Championships after the Tour Championship is completed.

Allen reached the semi-finals in Llandudno but was beaten by Neil Robertson, who trails Ronnie O’Sullivan 5-3 in the final ahead of Sunday’s play.

Robertson is 4.00 to win the tournament outright and O’Sullivan can be backed at 1.22.

The China Open does take place before the World Championships in Sheffield but Allen will already be looking ahead to the Crucible as he bids for a second Triple Crown trophy.

The Northern Irishman, who has won the International Championship and Scottish Open this season, landed his maiden major at the Masters last season and reached the UK Championship final this term. Allen is 15.00 to win the World Championships, while Judd Trump can be backed at 5.00.

Trump also reached the semi-finals in Llandudno but lost a thrilling match to O’Sullivan in a deciding frame, with the Rocket coming out on top 10-9.

Trump ended his long wait for a second Triple Crown win at the Masters this year and now the Crucible crown is the only major trophy missing from his collection.

O’Sullivan will return to the top of the rankings for the first time in nine years if he beats Robertson and is 3.75 to win the World Championships outright.

Robertson is 10.00 and defending champion Mark Williams is 19.00 to take the title.
